What if I want the content on my website changed? Do I have to contact you?
Store In A Can is equipped with its own Content Management System (CMS). This allows you to edit your webpage content whenever you wish. You do not have to contact us for any changes pertaining to web content. You do it all yourself.
Do I need to purchase any additional software for Store In A Can?
No. The system is completely web-based. All you need is a computer with a web browser and an internet connection.
How do I know my information is secure and no one else is looking at confidential information?
Everyone who purchases a Store In A Can receives a master username and password. That person has the ability to decide who can log into the back-end of the website and can set the limitations of each user. It is recommended that there is only one sole administrator who has access to all applications within their store. Keep your password protected and if for any reason you feel as if someone has access to your password, reset your password immediately.
What if I forget my password or administration name?
Just contact us and we will provide you with a new user name and password so you can reset it once again.
What support do you offer?
We offer a 24/7 email support as well as a live help system during business hours.
Do I need a web address?
Yes you do. If you do not currently have one, we can register one for you at a nominal fee.
What if I have no experience maintaining a website?
Store In A Can was designed with a very simple user interface specifically for regular people, not programmers. Our CMS (content management system) allows you to change content when you want! You can add text, add pictures and even links without any computer programming knowledge! if you have basic computer progam skills, you can maintain your Store In A Can!
Where will my online store be hosted?
Your Store In A Can will hosted on one of our state of the art servers. Our servers are located in one of Canada's most reliable data centres. If you site is currenly hosted somewhere else, you can simply discontinue your service with them and transfer your domain to us.
Can we have our own design?
Yes you can. Store In A Can provides you with a custom designed header, footer and colour scheme that you choose. We don't use templates like our competition so you can be assured that your website and online store will be unique! If you want further customization, our graphics team can accomodate all forms of custom artwork and design. Fee's do apply on custom artwork and pricing is dependant on the complexity of the design work. Please consult with your Account Manager for details.
Can you add flash to my website?
Yes, flash can be added to you website at an additional cost. Please consult with one of our account managers for pricing.
What do I do after I sign up?
Your account manager will be in touch with you within 7 days to walk you thru the setup of your new website get you started on the road to the e-commerce e-volution!
Do you register my site with search engines?
Yes we do. We will perform the initial basic submitions for you as well as assist you with your meta tags and meta descriptions. If you wish to subscribe to our search engine optimisation program, please contact your account manager for details and cost.
Yes it does. You can email all your existing online customers who choose to sign up for the newsletters as well as people who are not yet customers but would like to be kept informed of specials and newsletters. Store In A Can separates the two group so you have total control which group receives which newsletter.
